Mukkoti Ekadashi 2010 at Bhadrachalam Sri Rama Temple

Mukkoti Ekadashi is observed at the famous Bhadrachalam Sri Rama Temple in Andhra Pradesh on the 11th day during the Shukla Paksha of Paush month (Dhanur masam) and is popularly known as Vaikunta Ekadashi. Mukkoti Ekadasi 2010 date is December 17.

The famous Teppotsavam ritual takes place at Bhadrachalam during the period and this will observed on December 16, 2010. Dasavathara Festival is also held during the period.

On the Mukkoti Ekadashi day, on the early hours around 5 am Vaikunta Dwarams at Northern Gate of the Bhadrachalam Sri Rama Temple are thrown open for darshan to devotees. The devotees believe that they will attain Moksha after having darshan of Sri Rama through the Vaikunta Dwaram.
